Making A Purchase.  Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept Visa, Mastercard American Express and PayPal. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship.  You may send your credit card information securely via our third-party payment provider, by Paypal or by telephone.  Only in the latter case do we get to know your card details but these are NOT stored.  They are shredded immediately the order has been processed.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us.  We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice.  We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling.  All orders are shipped by Royal Mail using the Large Letter, Packet or Standard Parcels service for UK orders. For overseas orders we use the Royal Mail Air Mail/Small Packet service. Some high value items are only shipped using Tracked & Signed For delivery. For these items Tracked shipping will be the only option available. If you wish your items to be sent Tracked & Signed For this option is available for all products. Once the items have been sent your invoice will show the Tracking Number. Shipping charges are given at the point of purchase and are the maximum you will be charged - even if it costs us more to actually send it!

Delivery Schedule.  We try to dispatch all orders within 2-3 working days. This is target rather than a promise! Exceptionally, if we are temporarily out of stock of an item (or if we are on holiday - last one was in 1985!] your order may take longer to be sent and we will advise you of this by email.

Back Orders.  We do not operate a back-order policy because if an item is available to buy on our web site, then it is in stock.

Credit Card Security. When the order is placed at our website, the communication between our website and our payment providers (HSBC Realex & PayPal) is encrypted and validated by our 1024 bit security certificates. We do not see or have any way of knowing your card number or security details.  You will need to register your card with your card provider for 3D Card Processing if you have not already done so.  This is highly recommended as as extra layer of protection against fraud on your card.

Privacy Policy.   David J. Parkins do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies.Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders
b. Administer and enhance the site and service
c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes

Missing or Damaged Parts Replacement Policy.  We will replace these parts free of any charge including shipping costs providing these are reported to us within 21 days of receipt of your order.  We will require your receipt number and will insist on sending any parts to the same address as your original order was shipped to.  Please note that we will NOT replace parts free of charge from any of our products that were purchased second-hand or from third-party suppliers, such as on Ebay.

Returns Policy.  Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any of purchased items within 14 days of delivery. This applies to all of our products. However, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase of any products which have been damaged or the kits started or constructed.

To cancel this contract, please package the relevant item/s securely and send back to us with a copy of your invoice/receipt within 14 days of the date that the item was delivered to you, giving the reason for the return as "Contract Cancellation". The return address is:

For your protection we would insist that you use a recorded-delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the all the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. (This does not include missing parts as we also have a missing parts replacement policy.)

Failure to receive the item back from you with the delivery slip, would mean we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost. (possibly by courier)

You should be aware that, once we begin the delivery process, you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for services carried out by us (for example, postage and packing, etc).

As soon as we receive your return goods we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
