Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling All orders are shipped by Royal Mail using the Large Letter, Packet or Standard Parcels service for UK orders. For overseas orders we use the Royal Mail Air Mail/Small Packet service. Shipping charges are given at the point of purchase and are the maximum you will be charged - even if it costs us more to actually send it!
Delivery Schedule We try to dispatch all orders within 2-3 working days. This is target rather than a promise! Exceptionally, if we are temporarily out of stock of an item (or if we are on holiday - last one was in 1985!] your order may take longer to be sent and we will advise you of this by email. All orders are only charged for at the point of dispatch.
Back Orders If you have ordered multiple items and we are out of stock of something, this will be placed on back-order. The same payment details will be used for the back ordered item when dispatched as for your main order. In the UK this means that you will not be charged any further postage for sending the backordered item/s, as postal charges are at a fixed rate per order. Back-ordered EU and Overseas items will include a proportion of the shipping charges you were originally quoted at the point of ordering but the total shipping charged overall will be exactly the amount quoted when you first placed the order.
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Privacy Policy David J. Parkins do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. Returns Policy Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any of purchased items within 7 days of delivery. This applies to all of our products. However, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase of any products which have been damaged or the kits started or constructed.

To cancel this contract, please fill out the returns section of the invoice/delivery slip that accompanies your items, giving the reason for the return as "Contract Cancellation". Please package the relevant item securely and send it to us with the delivery slip so that we receive it within 7 working days of the date that the item was delivered to you. The return address is:

For your protection we would insist that you use a recorded-delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the all the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. (This does not include missing parts as we also have a missing parts replacement policy.)

Failure to receive the item back from you with the delivery slip, would mean we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost. (possibly by courier)

You should be aware that, once we begin the delivery process, you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for services carried out by us (for example, postage and packing, etc).

As soon as we receive your return goods we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
