Firing Line 120mm figures are in injection resin. This means that part moulding feeds are more akin to those in injection-moulded plastic kits and the various parts of any figure arrive to you 99% ready to use. Also this process results in much crisper detail as each figure is cast directly from an imprint of the original sculpting and not from that of a sub-master.
Weapons and some smaller parts are cast for strength. These are the weapons from our 120mm Weapons & Equipment Sets range and so are not sculpted weapons but truly engineered models from brass masters. In most kits, fine additional detailing is in photo-etched metal. All figure sets are supplied with painting notes and instructions as required. Some figures are supplied with a colour photograph for assistance in painting and assembly. |

These are the finest Weapons and Equipment Sets and are highly-detailed models in their own right - many feature in our own range of figures. These are ideal for up-grading the weapons supplied in figures from other manufacturers. Note that these sets are not sculpted but from engineered metal masters.
They are not cast in impractical resin that breaks easily - these are cast in the high grade metal from brass originals for the highest level of detail, with many of the smaller details added from fine etchings in either brass or nickel silver. |

These are very different from most other vehicle kits in this scale. The resin parts are supplied 99% ready to use, with no large mould feeds to remove. Smaller fittings and guns are not in resin, which is most unsuitable for such items, but are cast in high-grade metal. Etched detailing is supplied in all the kits but in addition, is also used constructionally in many of the kits.

These are quite different to other 1/76th kits on the market. Most of the vehicles are built from the ground up as per the real thing - starting with the chassis, axles, drive and wheels first, then moving onto to the cab and body areas. They include a host of fine details more normally associated with 1/48th or 1/35th scale model. Some of the smaller vehicles are primarily cast with etched detailing, whilst some of the more angular box-like designs, such as the big lorries, are etched kits with cast fittings. It is only by use of etching that the scale thickness flanges to all of the chassis members can be replicated accurately in a small scale such as 1/76th. Eight of these kits originate from the old Lead Sled Models range and we have taken these kits back to the original masters, refined them and made wholly new moulds from brass sub-masters for consistent quality. We have also added much fine etched detailing to replace some cast parts which we considered over-scale. This brings them into line with the rest of the range of 76th kits, originated by ourselves.
Several Detail & conversion sets for injection moulded kits are also planned.
Over time it will build into a highly-collectable series of WWII-era models depicting many interesting and original British Army & RAF subjects. |
