Some of you will know that many years back we began work on a series of complete 1/48th scale Canberra kits, to be in injection resin, cast metal and etched brass. We stopped work on these when we first heard [several years ago] from Airfix that a series of injection moulded kits might be forthcoming. Now these are released - along with those from Classic Airframes.

We will be using much of the tooling we have amassed over the years for our own Canberra project for the production of a whole series of comprehensive detail & conversion sets for the Airfix Canberras and we shall also release ‘spin-off’ sets matched to the Classic Airframes kits.

More details of contents and prices in due course! These are obviously not be the first sets for the Canberra to be released - but they will be the most detailed and comprehensive. When we are good and ready we have some real treats in store for fans of this beautiful aircraft.

Lightning Detail & Weapons Set
For the Airfix kits. This set includes a new cockpit tub, with accurate consoles that are supplied with laser plotted instrument dial films, ejector seat details, canopy sills and framing, and a crew access ladder. A new undercarriage is included, with both early & late style wheel hubs, and a mass of undercarriage bay and door details.

There are a large quantity of airframe parts included - jet pipe details, aerials, new IFR probe & pitot head, new F6 ventral strakes, FOD guard and more. On the weapons side - we supply 2 each of Firestreak and Red Top missiles, with ultra fine wing and fin detail, together with two missile handling trolleys, for your Lightning display. Etched parts are in nickel silver - which has similar working characteristics to brass, but will allow you to leave finely-detailed parts like undercarriage door fascias un-painted for added effect.

RAF Tornado GR1/GR1A/GR4/GR4A Detail and Stores Set
Even with the release of the Hobby Boss Tornado kit - the excellent value Italeri Tornado IDS kit together with the use of this large Flightpath set, which includes everything you will need to turn the Italeri kit into a fully-detailed RAF machine, is still considered by many experienced builders to be the better option.

The set provides cockpit detail, access ladder and many other airframe mods. and details. The set includes new wing pylon overlays, a BOZ 107 pod, a Sky Shadow pod, a FLIR pod, a Linescan pod for the GR1A/4A variant, two accurate 2250Ltr. fuel tanks, two AIM-9L missiles & more. Although we recommend the Paragon or Aeroclub ejector seats for use with this set there are also many extra etched parts provided to help you in detailing either these units or the kit seats - including parts to assist in modelling the GR4/4A style NVG compatible seat head-boxes. Also included are laser-plotted cockpit films - all this in one super-value set

RAF/Royal Navy Westland Sea King Detail & Conversion Sets

Even though Hasegawa have released two Westland Sea King kits - these are very expensive limited edition products. Some of the parts in these kits are duplicated in our sets but with a much greater level of detail. The use of our sets with the original Hasegawa USN issues of the Sea King or the cheaper Revell issue of the same kit still provides the best route to getting a RAF or Royal Navy Sea King. Remember - all four of the following kits include our generic Sea King Detail Set in with the price.
